Tim Keach – Chairman and CEO

Tim Keach oversees development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan.   Tim also focuses on client relationships and development of new projects.  During his career with TDK, he has had experience working in every aspect of the company.  Starting as a concrete finisher, Tim worked his way up as a Field Superintendent, Project Manager, Secretary/Treasurer and now as the President of TDK.   Tim has been involved in building over 50 schools and municipal buildings as well as constructing over 7,000 apartment units.  In 2004, Tim expanded his business interests by starting TDK Development.

Tim began working at TDK as a teenager and came back to TDK once he completed his degree at Middle Tennessee State University.  He has been with TDK full time since 1973.  Tim sits on the Middle Tennessee State University’s Development Board and he works out of TDK’s Murfreesboro, TN office.

Kent Ayer – President

Kent Ayer is responsible for managing the operations of TDK Construction and TDK Development.  Since assuming this role in 2005, Kent has overseen the construction of 5,500 multi-family units and the development of over 4,000 units.  Kent’s responsibilities include: the management of all employees, oversight of all projects being built and in development, handling all legal matters for TDK, negotiating with clients, and managing TDK’s bonding, insurance and all other third party relationships.

Before coming to TDK, Kent worked in athletic administration at the University of Wyoming and Middle Tennessee State University.  He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctor and M.B.A. from the University of Louisville.  Kent is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and has served on the Middle Tennessee State University Alumni Association’s Board of Directors.

Liz Tipton – Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Liz  is responsible for leading TDK’s financial operations out of our Kentucky office. Liz leads a team of three and oversees the following: all posting and job costing, payments of overhead expenses and job related, payroll operations, subcontractor billings and payments each month, review job cost sheets, maintain contractor licensing and corporation compliance in various states, and all quarterly taxes and 401k funds.

Besides overseeing the day to day financial operations, Liz is also responsible for the preparation of annual corporate audits, HUD audits and tax planning for the company. She started with TDK in 1984 and has been an integral part of TDK’s success. 

John Keach – Vice President / Civil Operations 

John Keach is responsible for managing the day to day operations of TDK Civil. Like his father, John started working at TDK as a teenager in the field. During this time, John was involved in the construction, grading and utility work of 1,890 units in Tennessee, Texas and Alabama for TDK. In 2010, John was elevated to a project manager and is now responsible for managing TDK Civil’s equipment, the maintenance equipment, budgets for contract scopes, developing construction schedule, reviewing submittals & pay applications, and coordinating the project closeout for TDK Civil.

Ross Bradley – Vice President / Development

Ross Bradley is responsible for the daily operations of TDK Development. Ross has overseen the development of over 3,700 units for TDK since 2008. His responsibilities include: market & site selection, product types selection and oversight of plan production. Ross also serves as a consultant to a variety of development firms within the multifamily space.

Before coming to TDK, Ross worked for Pulte Homes Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. In his spare time, Ross serves on the advisory board for Middle Tennessee State University Land Development & Construction Program, he also serves on the Board of Trustees for Clayton-Bradley Academy.

Most importantly Ross is the husband of Melissa Bradley. They have two beautiful daughters Caroline and Kate.

Drew Cox – Vice President / Project Management

Drew Cox is responsible for the oversight of TDK’s General Contracting division.  He has overseen the construction of over 4,000 units since starting at TDK in 2006.  His responsibilities include generating & maintaining budgets, contracts, development and oversight of construction scheduling, reviewing submittals/pay applications, and coordinating the project closeouts.

Drew joined TDK in 2006.  Before joining the TDK team, he worked as a superintendent for Charter Concrete in Nashville.  Drew graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Concrete Management.
